We’ve teamed up with Donate For Charity, a company that specializes in processing vehicle donations for nonprofit organizations. Donate For Charity arranges for vehicle pickup, handles all the DMV issues, sells the vehicle at auction, and distributes the net proceeds to for kids! So if it’s time to replace an older car, or if you have a boat and trailer that are just taking up space in the garage, consider making a donation.
You’ll avoid the headache of selling a used vehicle, help for kids! fund ongoing programs/efforts, and receive a receipt entitling you to deduct the fair market value of your vehicle as a tax deduction. On behalf of for kids!, the San Mateo Foster City Education Foundation, we’d like to once again ask for your indispensable and generous support as we embark upon our Annual Campaign. As the only district-wide fundraising effort, the mission of for kids! is to support excellence in our local public schools and promote equitable opportunities for every K-8 student in the district.
Since 1989 for kids! has donated over $2.6 million to the school district to help insulate our neighborhood public schools from the fluctuations in both state and federal educational funding. As we begin our 20th year serving students in San Mateo and Foster City, we remain steadfast in our belief that by supporting all our schools we can make a difference in the lives of our children and add to the vitality of our community.
Every year, parents, community members, and local businesses partner together to help enrich the education we all desire for our children. This year, without your donations, there would be no elementary instrumental music program in the San Mateo-Foster City Elementary School District. In addition, the district’s library and counseling services would have been substantially curtailed.
