for kids! the San Mateo Foster City Education Foundation was established in 1989 to enhance and enrich the educational experiences of all students in the San Mateo and Foster City Schools and has funded over $ 2.8 million to the district.
The San Mateo-Foster City School District will be seeking the renewal of a local parcel tax that expires in June 2010.
The District currently generates almost $3 million from this parcel tax which it uses to fund salaries. If the parcel tax is not renewed by June 2010, the District will need to make an additional $3 million in on-going expenditures reductions.
Here's How it Works • You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. • Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen groups (you mayselect up to 3) based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. • Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child's behalf!
10% of new enrollee fees will be donated to for kids! Flyer

"There is a place in America to take a stand: it is public education. It is the underpinning of our cultural and political system. It is the great common ground. Public education after all is the engine that moves us as a society toward a common destiny... It is in public education that the American dream begins to take shape." —Tom Brokaw former anchor NBC Nightly News
