Over 70 local residents interested in improving the funding of public education for the 10,000 K-8th grade students in the San Mateo-Foster City School District attended the workshop.

This state budget crisis is forcing unprecedented cuts to public education, and our school district is no exception. One of the programs that faces elimination is our elementary music program. In an effort to preserve 5th grade instrumental music, for kids! held its first annual benefit concert on May 19 and 20.
